Alex: Sketchy

It's been a rather artistic funk I've been in the last little while. All the school projects and work have eaten up most of the time I've had to do other things. I just wanted to post this to prove that I'm still alive and trying to get out of the funk. I had a few minutes before my Figure Drawing class today so I started sketching out a new character for a new concept. It's fairly loose right now, but I'm trying to incorporate some of the stuff that I've been able to refresh up on from my Figure Drawing class and use that in my sketches. This is actually looking ok. It's unfinished, but I'm trying to play around with some new drawing techniques. The perspective is a bit tweaked, but that's not too bad for something that I'm just making up. Usually I've used something as a reference for positioning...

And, per usual, the hands aren't defined. That's something that I'm going to have to try and force myself to sketch more and more of. Hands. Beyond the fact that my Figure Drawing teacher wants us to for class.
